Stated simply, if you are complaining or discussing with someone else how a third party has described you or your actions there is certainly a strong case for its relevance.  We are all damned by our actions and expressions for the good and bad.  If you do not want to be labelled for certain behaviour or philosophical bent then be careful how you act or express yourself.  It is to easy to be ourselves but always remember someone else is there to reflect who we actually are.
